Come Write with Jack – The Landscapes of Poetry – is continuing!

Landscapes of Poetry led by Jack Ridl invites 13 participants to engage in conversation about poetry and the writing life as well as asking three participants each month to present a poem we can discuss and appreciate.

2016 Landscapes of Poetry will meet the second Wednesday of each month June through October.  Those dates are:

June 8
July 13
August 10
September 14
October 12

The cost of $500 with payment in full due May 18, 2016.   (Unless other payment arrangements are made with Jack Ridl.)  All checks are made out to Jack Ridl and mailed to Colette Volkema DeNooyer 2255 Lake Michigan Dr., Holland, MI.  49424.

And if you would – please put on the front of the envelope the word: Landscapes.

At the end of each June – October session we ask current participants to indicate if they choose to return in order to determine if there are openings for the next season.  Currently the session for 2016 has filled.

If you would be interested in being informed when there are openings feel free to contact me at comewritewithme@gmail.com

There is a possibility that we  might offer another Learning from Some Masters, Jack’s full day Saturday retreat where he invites us to learn from master poets, lifting up their themes and respective skills.  We’ll put the word out here a good six weeks prior if that looks like a possibility.

In the meantime you can take personalized “One-On-One” sessions with Jack in sessions tailored to your needs and interest. As Jack puts it:

I’ll do my best to offer mentoring, tutoring, advice on topics of our choosing or look at poems in progress, offering my response.  Or we can use our scheduled times to keep your poetry heart pouring words onto the page, as I do in the monthly group.”

He’s a wonderful mentor and guide (I testify from ongoing personal experience.)

You can meet with Jack at his home in Douglas, Michigan or via email or Skype.  Options include:

  • A single session @ $85 an hour to an hour and a half session as well as 2-3 additional emails as the poem develops
  • Three sessions @ $245 scheduled for your convenience either monthly or more frequently with up to 3 email exchanges after each session as a poem develops.
  • Six sessions @ $530  cheduled for your convenience either monthly or more frequently with up to 3 email exchanges after each session as a poem develops.

If you are interested and want more information on these opportunities contact Jack directly at: jack@ridl.com

Many thanks to all of you who have responded to my invitation over the years to “Come Write with Me!” in my own writing groups.  I hope you always keep writing – it is good for the soul – and good for the world!
